Code execution from malicious file
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Animate 23.0.7 and 24.0.4 and earlier allows local users to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe identifies the memory-write class but has not disclosed the parser, file format, or bounds-checking operation that mishandles the file data. Execution requires a victim to open the file and runs with that victim’s privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
