CVE-2024-49420Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary activity launch via unchecked Intent

Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024

Improper response handling in Samsung Gaming Hub before 6.1.04.6 in Korea or 7.1.03.7 globally allows remote attackers to launch arbitrary activities. A WebView response supplies an attacker-controlled Intent to startActivity(Intent) without sufficient verification, causing Gaming Hub to open any exported Android activity. Exploitation requires a user to tap a malicious link; alone, the flaw runs exported activities in the user's context, while the published attack chain uses additional flaws to install an application.
