CVE-2024-49418Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Privilege escalation via unvalidated WebView URL

Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024

Improper input validation in Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub before 6.1.03.4 in Korea and 7.1.02.4 globally allows remote attackers to run WebView scripts. Gaming Hub accepts a user-supplied URL without authenticating its origin, enabling JavaScript in the application's WebView. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, after which attacker-controlled script executes in the WebView context and escalates privileges.
