CVE-2024-49381Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via unvalidated path join

Published Oct 25, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Path traversal in Plentico Plenti before 0.7.2 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files through the /postLocal endpoint. The postLocal handler joins the process working directory with an unvalidated change.File value and passes the result to os.Remove. The endpoint is exposed while a site owner runs plenti serve; deletion is limited by process filesystem permissions and causes information loss.
