CVE-2024-49377

Browser script execution via unescaped dialog parameters

Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024

Reflected XSS in OctoPrint 1.10.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via crafted dialog links. The login template inserts user_id into an HTML attribute with inadequate escaping, while the application-key dialog formats app and user values without HTML escaping. A victim must open the crafted login or application-key confirmation link; script in the OctoPrint origin can read or modify sensitive settings, interact with the instance, or interrupt prints.
