Remote code execution via unsafe model deserialization
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 15, 2025
Unsafe deserialization in affected Rasa Pro releases allows remote attackers to execute code by remotely loading a crafted model archive. Model loaders for TEDPolicy and other components pass attacker-controlled pickle and jsonpickle files from the archive to unsafe deserializers, which invoke embedded Python payloads. The HTTP API must be enabled, which is not the default; access is unauthenticated only when API authentication is absent, while configured token or JWT controls require valid credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
