Log integrity compromise via unneutralized tracing data

Log injection in IBM OpenPages with Watson 8.3 and 9.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter server logs through System Tracing. When System Tracing is enabled, the application writes attacker-controlled data to server log files without properly neutralizing it for the log context. A low-privileged account and the optional tracing configuration are required, and the resulting entries compromise log integrity without affecting confidentiality or availability.
