Authenticated server crash via crafted columnar query

Stack-based buffer overflow in IBM Db2 allows remote authenticated users to crash affected servers with crafted columnar-table queries. A specially crafted query against a columnar table triggers the stack overwrite, but IBM has not disclosed the affected code path or unchecked operation. A low-privileged database account and network access are required; exploitation interrupts database service by crashing the Db2 server.
