CVE-2024-49328Network attack vector

Unauthenticated account takeover via REST API

Published Oct 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Authentication bypass in Vivek Tamrakar WP REST API FNS 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over WordPress accounts. Patchstack identifies privilege escalation through the plugin's REST user API, but neither its advisory nor the CNA record discloses the affected route, parameter, or failed authentication check. No prior authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants control of a targeted account with that account's WordPress privileges.
