Privilege escalation in CodePassenger Job Board Manager for WordPress 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrator access. The update_user_data() function accepts role changes without restricting which roles an unauthenticated request can assign, permitting selection of the administrator role. Successful exploitation requires network access to a WordPress site running the plugin and grants the control available to a WordPress administrator.
