Script execution via reflected request input
Published Jan 21, 2025 · Updated May 5, 2026
Reflected XSS in HeroPlugins Hero Menu 1.16.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a crafted request. The CNA and vendor-linked advisory do not identify the affected parameter or code path, beyond stating that request input receives inadequate neutralization. Exploitation requires a victim to follow an attacker-controlled request, and the script runs in the affected WordPress site's security context.
