Database disclosure via unparameterized category deletion query
Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Simple Online Bidding System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a crafted category id. The delete_category action in admin/ajax.php passes the POST id value directly into an SQL statement without validation or parameterization. Access to the administrator category-management interface and a valid PHP session are required, and the published payload demonstrates database-name disclosure through an error-based query.
