Published Oct 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Reflected XSS in Agustin Berasategui AB Categories Search Widget 0.2.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in browsers. The published advisory does not identify the affected request parameter, rendering function, or escaping failure that reflects attacker-controlled input into a generated page. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a user to follow a crafted request; the resulting script runs in the WordPress site's origin and accesses data available to that browser session.
