Unauthenticated code execution via RD Gateway race
Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Remote code execution in Microsoft Windows Server Remote Desktop Services allows remote attackers to execute code through an RD Gateway. The gateway service mishandles concurrent crafted connection requests, creating a race-triggered use-after-free condition. Exploitation requires the RD Gateway role and winning the race, but requires neither authentication nor user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
