Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Denial of service in Microsoft Message Queuing on affected Windows releases allows remote attackers to interrupt MSMQ over the network. Microsoft has not published the faulty MSMQ operation or attacker-controlled field responsible for the uncontrolled resource consumption. The attack requires no authentication or user interaction and affects availability only; public evidence does not distinguish a hang from a crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
