XML external entity injection in affected Microsoft SharePoint Server editions allows remote attackers to disclose data through a crafted file. Microsoft has not published which SharePoint XML-processing component accepts the external entity reference or which resource it exposes. Exploitation requires a user to open the attacker-supplied file; the published impact is limited to confidentiality, with no integrity or service effect.
