Domain privilege escalation via application-policy injection

Weak authentication in Active Directory Certificate Services on affected Windows Server builds allows local users to gain domain privileges. An unpatched certification authority accepts attacker-supplied Application Policies in version 1 template requests instead of enforcing the template's intended extended key usages. A low-privileged domain identity needs enrollment rights on a template that permits supplied subject data; the issued certificate can authenticate as a privileged account and enable full domain compromise.
