Contributor-level user redirection via unescaped Facebook title
Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Open redirect in SEOPress before 7.8 allows remote authenticated users with contributor access to redirect visitors through malicious posts. The Social > Facebook Title post setting accepts an injected quote and HTTP-EQUIV refresh directive, then emits them without validation or escaping. A contributor must save the crafted setting, and any user who views or previews that post is sent to the attacker-chosen site.
