Privilege escalation via unchecked functionality-menu response
Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Broken access control in NetAdmin 4.0.30319 allows remote authenticated users to access higher-privileged functions. The functionality-menu endpoint returns unencrypted function data and fails to validate whether the active session is authorized for each function. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and response content copied from a higher-privileged browser session, exposing that user's administrative functions.
