CVE-2024-48939Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated access-log disclosure via unchecked API license

Published Nov 11, 2024 · Updated Nov 19, 2024

API license validation bypass in Paxton Access Net2 before 6.07.14023.5015 (SR4) allows remote authenticated users to read access-log data. The license-file signature checks do not function, so a generated file is accepted and enables the REST API. API credentials and access to place the file on the Net2 host are required; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of access logs and other user data.
