Authenticated RSS feed tampering via missing ownership checks
Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Improper authorization in Moodle LMS before 4.1.14 allows remote authenticated users to edit or delete RSS feeds they do not own. The RSS feed edit and delete handlers accept a feed identifier without verifying that the current user may modify the selected feed. A logged-in account with feed-management access can alter or remove another user's feed; versions 4.2.0 through 4.2.10, 4.3.0 through 4.3.7, and 4.4.0 through 4.4.3 are also affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
