Local privilege escalation via crafted shell commands
Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025
OS command injection in the CLI of Fortinet FortiSOAR on-premise allows local users to escalate privileges via crafted commands. The CLI passes crafted content to an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters; Fortinet has not identified the affected command or code path. Exploitation requires preexisting non-login, low-privileged shell access obtained through another flaw, after which the attacker gains elevated local privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
