Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Unverified password change in Fortinet FortiSwitch GUI allows remote attackers to change administrator passwords via crafted HTTP requests. The set_password endpoint accepts an administrator password change without validating the current password or authenticating the requester. Exploitation requires HTTP or HTTPS GUI access from an unauthorized device, and a successful reset grants control of an administrator account.
