Unauthenticated code execution via oversized HTTP request
Published Dec 6, 2024 · Updated Dec 6, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in PLANET WGS-804HPT firmware 1.305b210531 allows remote attackers to execute code via malicious HTTP requests. The webserver copies request data to a stack buffer without first enforcing the input size. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation compromises the switch's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
