Application-data modification via CRLF injection
Published Dec 6, 2024 · Updated Dec 6, 2024
CRLF injection in QNAP QTS 5.1.x and 5.2.x and QuTS hero h5.1.x and h5.2.x allows remote attackers to modify application data. QNAP has not published the affected component, input field, or operation that fails to neutralize carriage-return and line-feed characters. Exploitation requires no privileges but does require passive user interaction; the documented consequence is attacker-controlled modification of application data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
