File read and overwrite via improper link resolution
Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Link-following in QNAP QuLog Center 1.7.x before 1.7.0.831 and 1.8.x before 1.8.0.888 allows remote attackers to read or overwrite files. QNAP has not disclosed the affected request, file-handling routine, or how attacker-controlled links reach filesystem operations. Network access and passive user interaction are required; successful exploitation redirects file access outside the intended location.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.7.0.0 <1.7.0.831
