Process-memory disclosure via TIFF buffer over-read
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in the TIFF image codec in BlackBerry QNX SDP 7.0, 7.1, and 8.0 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory. The codec reads beyond the intended image buffer while parsing attacker-controlled TIFF data, returning memory outside the image. Exploitation requires a process using the affected codec to accept an attacker-supplied TIFF image; disclosure is limited to that process memory context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
