Unauthenticated command spawning via origin-blind WebSocket
Published Jan 29, 2025 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Authentication bypass in ABB FLXeon 9.3.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to issue unauthorized commands over its WebSocket interface. The /ws endpoint accepts unauthenticated JSON-RPC messages in wsConnect.js and can spawn tcpdump captures without validating request origin. Network access to the controller is required; repeated requests can exhaust resources, while initiated captures can expose network traffic.
