CVE-2024-48848Network attack vector

Disk exhaustion via oversized content handling

Published May 22, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025

Resource exhaustion in ABB ASPECT-Enterprise, NEXUS Series, and MATRIX Series through 3.* allows remote authenticated users to exhaust device storage. Public material identifies oversized content as the trigger but does not disclose the request handler, storage path, or missing size-enforcement operation. Administrative credentials must first be compromised, and the documented consequence is availability loss from disk exhaustion rather than data disclosure or modification.
