Checksum bypass in ABB ASPECT 3.08.01 and earlier allows remote attackers to defeat MD5-based integrity validation over a network. An undisclosed application dependency calculates or validates MD5 checksums in a way that accepts an invalid checksum. Access to the ASPECT network segment is required, and ABB has not disclosed the checked artifact or the precise protected content that can be altered.
