Pre-authentication code execution via UDP command injection
Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Oct 29, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda AC7 Firmware 15.03.06.44 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code over the local network. After /goform/ate starts TendaAte, ate_main_handle opens UDP port 7329 and passes iwpriv arguments to ate_iwpriv_set, where iwpriv_wlan_set directly executes the untrusted argument. An unauthenticated attacker must reach the router's adjacent network; successful injection runs commands with the firmware service's privileges.
