Firmware disclosure via unauthenticated OTA downloads
Published Oct 14, 2024 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Information disclosure in Hubble Connected 2.00.81 allows remote attackers to download device firmware through the update service. The DrakePlusProduct.getOTAUrl method reveals predictable manifest URLs, and the OTA server returns manifests and firmware images without authentication. No account or user interaction is required; exposure is limited to device firmware and associated metadata, with no demonstrated ability to install modified images.
