Firmware disclosure via unauthenticated update endpoints
Published Oct 14, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Information disclosure in Inatronic DriveDeck 2.7.1 allows remote attackers to download unreleased device firmware from its update server. The app embeds unauthenticated HTTP download URLs, and the server returns firmware images directly without device or user validation. Network access to the disclosed endpoints is sufficient to retrieve proprietary firmware for offline analysis; no firmware-installation capability is established.
