Firmware disclosure via unauthenticated update endpoint
Published Oct 11, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Information disclosure in YesCam Firmware 1.0.2 allows remote attackers to download firmware through an unauthenticated HTTP request. The CameraList Auto_upgrade_url field exposes an HTTP versions.json endpoint whose response lists direct firmware-image URLs without device or user authentication. Network access to the vendor-hosted endpoint is sufficient to retrieve the images; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of four firmware files.
