Firmware disclosure via unauthenticated update endpoints
Published Oct 11, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Information disclosure in the update service for WO-Smart MorePro Firmware 7.2.3 allows remote attackers to download firmware without authentication. The queryDeviceOTAConfigInfo method exposes a static JSON manifest URL, and the server returns the manifest and referenced binary files without validating a device or user identity. No account or device access is required; knowledge of the HTTPS endpoints permits bulk retrieval of unreleased firmware and its proprietary contents.
