Arbitrary code execution via patient PIN SQL injection
Published Oct 22, 2024 · Updated Oct 23, 2024
SQL injection in ITSourceCode Hospital Management System 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via patient data. The /HMS/patient.php handler incorporates the submitted PIN code into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax; an EXTRACTVALUE payload returns the database server version. The documented path requires an administrator session, and the demonstrated consequence is database information disclosure even though the CVE record states arbitrary code execution.
