CVE-2024-48652Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped content-group name

Published Oct 22, 2024 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in Camaleon CMS 2.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a content-group name. The Settings content-group editor stores a crafted Name value without neutralizing HTML event-handler markup, which executes when another user loads a page that renders the saved group name. An administrator must save the payload, and another user's browser must render the affected name; the script can access same-origin page data and session context.
