Stored XSS via unescaped Skills widget identifier
Published May 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in HappyMonster Happy Addons for Elementor 3.10.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via _id. The Skills widget places Elementor's untrusted _id value into rendered HTML without adequate attribute escaping, causing the browser to interpret injected markup. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script executes in the site origin whenever a visitor opens the affected page, enabling browser-session data access or page-content changes.
