Script execution via unvalidated segid reflection
Published Oct 15, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Reflected XSS in DomainMOD before 4.12.0 allows attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted segid value. segments/edit.php concatenates the GET value directly into the session danger message without validation before rendering it in the frontend. A valid DomainMOD session must reach the crafted page, and the injected script receives the victim page's same-origin browser access.
