Stored XSS via executable SVG upload
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Inflectra SpiraTeam 7.2.00 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through an uploaded SVG. The TestRuns attachment path accepts an SVG containing script and serves it so that direct viewing executes the embedded JavaScript in the viewer's browser. Exploitation requires a victim to directly view the attacker-supplied file, limiting the demonstrated consequence to script execution in that viewer's SpiraTeam web context.
