CVE-2024-48540Public exploit

Flashing-tool disclosure via unauthenticated firmware requests

Published Oct 24, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Incorrect authorization in XiaoheSmart 4.3.1 allows local users to obtain restricted flashing tools through firmware-update requests. The APK exposes deviceCode, version, and usercode values used by a firmware endpoint that returns developer flashing tools and tutorials without an authorization check. Exploitation requires analysis of the installed APK and a crafted network request; the disclosed materials enable unauthorized reflashing of associated hardware.
