Stored XSS via unsanitized autoplay parameter
Published May 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in ValvePress WordPress Automatic Plugin 3.94.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via autoplay. The autoplay parameter is stored without sufficient input sanitization and later rendered without adequate output escaping, causing attacker-controlled JavaScript to execute in a visitor's browser. Contributor-level access is required to inject the payload, and execution occurs whenever a user opens the affected page, enabling browser-context data access or page modification.
