Unwanted package installation via forged configuration requests
Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in LoLLMs WebUI 9.6 allows attackers to trigger package installation through malicious configuration requests. The Servers Configurations handlers for XTTS, Petals, vLLM, Motion Ctrl, and Elastic Search accept state-changing installation requests without CSRF protection. A user must interact with attacker-controlled content while the local single-user interface is reachable; exploitation installs packages and can interrupt service.
