CVE-2024-48311Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Album renaming via optional anti-CSRF token validation

Published Oct 31, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Piwigo 14.5.0 allows remote attackers to rename albums through an administrator's browser. The pwg.categories.php album-update path checks pwg_token only when the field exists, so omitting the field bypasses anti-CSRF validation. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open a malicious page, and the demonstrated consequence is an unauthorized album-name change.
