CVE-2024-48293Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Antivirus setting tampering via dashboard privilege bypass

Published Nov 18, 2024 · Updated Nov 19, 2024

Incorrect access control in Quick Heal AntiVirus Pro 24.1.0.182 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter antivirus settings. The dashboard privilege check can be bypassed, so a low-privileged account can submit setting changes that should require greater authority. Access requires an authenticated low-privileged account, and successful exploitation weakens endpoint protection without granting broader system privileges.
