Command injection in Linksys E3000 1.0.06.002_US allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands through diagnostics. The diag_ping_start function passes the HTTP ping_ip value into an fprintf-built command without neutralizing shell metacharacters before execution. A valid router-management session and submission of a crafted diagnostic request are required; injected commands run on the appliance.
