Horizontal privilege escalation via trusted local storage
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Authorization bypass in SiSMART 7.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to assume another dashboard user's role. The dashboard trusts user-controlled sekolah_kode, user_id, and user_level values in browser local storage without server-side ownership or role validation. An existing session and known target identifiers are required, after which another school's administrator context can be selected.
