Unauthenticated code execution via unsanitized Wi-Fi credentials
Published Oct 30, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Command injection in KERUI HD 3MP 1080P Tuya Camera 1.0.4 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code via a crafted QR code. The sys_connect_wifi function inserts QR-derived SSID and password values into an lv_wifi_connect.sh command without sanitization, and system_cmd passes it to system(). The camera must be in Wi-Fi provisioning mode and scan the attacker-controlled code; successful exploitation grants a shell with control over the camera.
