CVE-2024-48150Network attack vector

Unauthenticated router compromise via sub_451208 stack overflow

Published Oct 14, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

Stack overflow in D-Link DIR-820L firmware 1.05B03 allows remote attackers to compromise the router through network requests. The sub_451208 function copies attacker-controlled data beyond a stack buffer, but public references do not identify the request field or path. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation can expose or alter data and interrupt routing service.
