CVE-2024-48074Public exploit

Authenticated command injection via PPPoE table parameter

Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Nov 8, 2024

OS command injection in DrayTek Vigor2960 firmware 1.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the web interface. The doPPPoE action in /www/cgi-bin/mainfunction.cgi interpolates the table value into kill %s and passes the string to system() without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Valid management credentials and adjacent-network access are required; successful exploitation grants command execution with the CGI process's device privileges.
